The lighthouse in Vermilion, Ohio is actually a replica and is located on the grounds of The Inland Seas Maritime Musuem. It is perhaps the best musuem if you really want to know about shipping on the Great Lakes. We highly recommend the museum. Take US 6 into Vermilion. Then turn north on to Main Street and head toward the lake. The museum will be on your left. On a scale of 1 to 5 stars, we give the lighthouse 3 stars, but the combination of museum and lighthouse 5 stars.
