Cleveland West Pierhead Lighthouse

Cleveland, OH

Cleveland West Pierhead Lighthouse is on the west side of the mouth of the Cuyahoga River where it enters Lake Erie. These pictures were taken at 100mm zoom from a sightseeing ship called the Goodtime III. For the best view from land, take US 6 (also US 20) to Edgewater Park. As you enter the park veer right onto Whiskey Island Drive. Then park on the public access boat ramp. There are some concrete piers that you can walk out toward the light, but you will still be a little ways away. However, the view of downtown Cleveland from this location is very nice on a clear day. On a scale of 1 to 5 stars, we give it 1.5 stars.

P.S. While you are in Cleveland, we recommend a trip to the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame.
